Job Description:

The Westmount Square Surgery Centre is a private clinic located downtown with direct access to the Atwater metro station. It has 2 operating rooms and a recovery room that can accommodate up to 9 patients.
Committed to providing compassionate and high-quality healthcare services, the clinic is a leader among private operating rooms in Quebec, both in terms of the variety of surgeries offered (bariatric, orthopedic, general, neurology, etc.) and the excellence of the care provided.

Due to the clinic's resounding success, our activity has tripled in the last year, and we are actively seeking new talent who share our values to join the team. We are looking for full-time and part-time Operating Room Nurses.

Main Responsibilities

• Perioperative care of the patient, from their arrival in the operating room until their discharge from the recovery room.
• Ensuring patient comfort and safety;
• Verifying, preparing, and presenting the surgical equipment required for the procedure;
• Organizing, managing, and controlling operating room equipment to allow the surgical procedure to be performed under optimal conditions;
• Providing surgical assistance to physicians during procedures;
• Gathering information, analyzing, planning, organizing, evaluating, and providing all nursing care related to the patient's needs;
• Participating in hygiene, asepsis, and safety measures;

Required Skills

• Diploma in Nursing (college or university degree);
• Member in good standing of the OIIQ (Quebec Order of Nurses);
• Current CPR/BCLS certification;
• Minimum of 5 Years of experience as a nurse, operating room and critical care experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of French and English (spoken and written)

Desired Experience:

• Operating Room: 5 years (Required)
• Orthopedic Surgery: 2 years (Required)
• Nursing Care Nursing: 2 years (Required)
• Critical Care: 2 years (Required)
• Bariatrics: 1 year (Preferred)

Shift and Hours:

• 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (End times may vary depending on the surgical schedule).
• Part-time: 3 days per week
• Full-time: 4 to 5 days per week

Training - License/Certificate:

• Member of the OIIQ (Required)
• Member of the OIIAQ (Required)
