Main Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of mental state and psychosocial condition.
Gather medical history, perform mental health assessments, and establish diagnoses within the scope of practice of the IPSSM (Integrated Psychosocial Support Service).
Assess risks: suicidal ideation, dangerousness, vulnerability, relapse.
Use recognized clinical tools based on best practices.
Clinical Planning and Interventions
Develop a personalized treatment plan in collaboration with the patient and team.
Provide therapeutic interventions: psychoeducation, motivational interventions, clinical support, etc.
Monitor common mental health disorders: anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, sleep disorders, etc.
Prescribing and Managing Treatment
Prescribe and adjust medication therapy according to OIIQ standards and internal protocols.
Interpret relevant laboratory results or assessments.
Adjust treatment based on clinical progress and best practices.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals.
Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and improvement activities continue.
Contribute to a humane, safe, and accessible care environment.
Support, Education, and Prevention
Inform and support patients and their families about the illness, treatments, and coping strategies.
Provide mental health prevention interventions.
Refer patients to appropriate resources when necessary.
Documentation and Compliance
Meticulously document each intervention in the patient's medical record.
Adhere to professional standards, clinical protocols, and applicable legal obligations.

Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing – IPSSM training.
Successful completion of the OIIQ/CMQ certification exam in mental health.
Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
Experience in mental health: a significant asset.
Current BLS (if required by the organization).
