As a Nurse, you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to basic nursing and administrative care, such as:
Welcoming patients
Performing nursing care and procedures within your scope of practice (e.g., ear irrigation, blood pressure and diabetes monitoring, wound care, etc.)
Screening for physical health issues and psychosocial problems among both healthy individuals and at-risk clients
Performing blood draws
Using collective medical directives for eligible patients
Following up on test results
Assisting physicians during medical consultations when needed
Conducting travel health consultations
Assessing patients’ health status and administering vaccinations according to their needs
Educating patients on vaccine recommendations and major chronic diseases
Referring patients and coordinating with professional healthcare resources
Promoting health and disease prevention
As a Head Nurse, you will also:
Manage medical supply orders and inventory
Manage and supervise the nursing team daily
Organize and manage training programs
Approve schedules for paramedical staff
Contribute to the development and implementation of new medical services
Perform any other related tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid license to practice from the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)
CPR certification
Experience in travel medicine (an asset)
Training on the Quebec Immunization Program (PIQ)
Good understanding of recommendations and guidelines for chronic diseases
Assets: training in STBBI (ITSS), Pap test, cryotherapy, and experience in follow-up care for hypertension and diabetes patients
Skills
