Under the authority of the immediate manager, you are responsible for supporting and successfully integrating the principles and criteria of social innovation into the City’s projects, plans, policies, and initiatives. You play both a role as social innovation advisors and coordinate the projects assigned to you. In this capacity, you are particularly responsible for contributing to the reflection and implementation of actions, plans, and policies of the City of Laval. You identify, in collaboration with various services and offices, the social impact measures of the projects and ensure their follow-up to engage the community and the administration in a socio-ecological transformation. More specifically:
- You implement a working methodology in social innovation;
- You evaluate, develop, and propose an evaluation protocol, indicators, and impact measures in social innovation for the identified projects, plans, and policies. You align these measures with those already in place within the administration, in collaboration with services, offices, and partners;
- You participate in and/or coordinate the participation and mobilization of the community, services, and offices, in connection with educational or research institutions in social innovation or other related fields;
- You develop, coordinate, and facilitate participatory and co-construction activities with the community, services, and offices as well as partners (information sessions, consultations, workshops, surveys, interviews), related to the projects, actions, and social innovation objectives under your responsibility;
- You ensure the coordination and implementation of plans and projects under your responsibility.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in the following fields: social innovation, management science, sustainable development, sociology, or any other relevant bachelor's degree for the position.
- Have six (6) years of relevant experience primarily in social innovation and community development
